elementals

The 5 elements of existence:  fire, earth, water, air and aether.
A conceptual exhibit of their cosmologies, rituals, qualities and entities,
expressed as installations, objects, and drawings.

Tointon Gallery

651 10th Ave, Greeley

Opening reception: September 9, 5-7pm

exhibit runs through October 15, 2022

This is an interactive show, in that you can take pieces of the art home.

The physical elements of fire, earth, water and air, building blocks sustaining life, are so essential to our survival that they have been deified since ancient times. The invisible aetheric or spiritual realms (the 5th element) have given humans consciousness,  principles, connectivity and purpose greater than ourselves, evolving us beyond primal survival and egocentric urges. The “elementals” exhibit seeks to encapsulate  our relationships and connections with these qualities.

With special thanks and fond memories to Andrew Svedlow, artist and board member of Artworks Center for Contemporary Art, Loveland, who arranged this gallery exhibit years ago.
Thanks, Andrew. Hope we did right by you.
